Hey dads! How's it going? Have a picky eater at home? So, so many dads do! This is why you've likely turned to popular kids' snacks. Many dads have tried a lot of granola bars for their kids, and maybe, just maybe, healthy store-bought snacks for kids. But it can be hard to have lots of snack options for kids who don't like a lot of food. One of the best things to do about this? Dads, you need to make snacks with your kids!

Ants On A Log

Everyone knows this snack. Ants on a log is a very, very popular snack for kids. It's also so easy for dads to help their kids make. But what is it? Ants on a log is made of celery sticks, peanut butter, and raisins. Dads, you need to cut the celery sticks. Help your kid use a butter knife to fill them if they're little. Your kid can put the raisins on themselves! Make it fun! Natural peanut butter has lots of protein without too much sugar. Other spreads work for kids who are allergic to peanut butter. Find one your kid will enjoy, but make it natural and low in sugar for the best health benefits!

Cheese and crackers are a great pairing. They're also an easy snack for dads to make with their kids! So, so easy! Everyone can do it! All you need, dads? Some cheese and some crackers! If you're at the grocery store with your kids, let them pick out the crackers and cheese with you! When you're making this snack, you'll have to use the knife to slice the cheese yourself. Let your kid lay out the crackers on their plate. They can place the cheese slices on them too! Cheese has vitamin D and calcium, and the crackers can have good carbs, healthy seeds, and fiber too! Yum, right?

Yogurt

Yogurt has lots of calcium and protein. Lots of it! Dad, it'll make your kid's bones grow healthy and strong. Don't go without yogurt! Yogurt for kids can be as simple as giving them a yogurt cup or having them help you spoon some into a bowl from a larger tub. But you can make it even more interesting! Try getting low-sugar yogurt, or even plain yogurt. Grab some of your kid's favorite fruit and a bit of honey. Spoon some of the yogurt into a bowl and then have your kid put some small pieces of fruit on top of it. Next? Let them drizzle honey on top of the yogurt and fruit. Mmm, mmm, good! Besides the yogurt's health benefits, the fresh fruit will get your kid to eat fiber, antioxidants, and vitamin C!

Popcorn

Dads, why not make some popcorn with your kids? A popcorn maker is the easiest way to do this, and you can lift your kid and let them fill it with kernels. But you can pull off this snack without one! Just put some oil in the bottom of a pot and put that on the stove. Before it heats up, get your kid to put the kernels into the pot as well. Cover the pot with a lid and wait! Before you know it, you and your kid will be listening to the kernels go pop, pop, pop! Sprinkle a little salt or parmesan cheese on top. Without the butter, all you have is a delicious and healthy whole-grain snack. Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!

This will thicken your smoothie and give your kid some potassium. Energy too! Does your kid like blueberries? Wash the blueberries and have your kid add them to the blender. Other good fruits are raspberries, strawberries, oranges, mangoes, and blackberries. Let your kid pick! Add some milk or water to make it liquid and blend them together! If you want your kid to have an even healthier smoothie, dads, try sneaking in a bit of spinach! Chia seeds make it very good too! Vitamin C, antioxidants, fiber, iron, vitamin K, you name it, a smoothie can contain it!
