Telltale Heart Attack Signs In Men

Y’all need to sound the alarm when a heart attack pops up. It’s a race to get to the emergency room and stay alive. Staying alive is best! Everyone needs treatment for a heart attack. Emergency heart surgery to open blocked arteries is the first soldier deployed. Following surgery, men need beta-blocker and blood-thinning drugs to bring their heart back up and keep it running like a well-oiled motorcycle. Once men know they’re having a heart attack, the doctors have so many things going to save them.

Chest Pain

Dreamstime

Men grabbing their chest in pain is the obvious sign of a heart attack. It’s in all the movies and shows! Chest pain is, by a huge margin, the symptom most men will have. They will grab the left side of their chest. Men often describe this pain as feeling like an elephant is sitting on their chest. It’s obvious when something is wrong. No one can miss it. No one! The pain will be very intense, and even if it goes away, it will come back. This always happens, even when men rest! Men must see a doctor immediately when their chest hurts.

Pain In Other Body Parts

Dreamstime

A heart attack will cause pain in other body parts aside from the chest. Men will have the pain travel from their chest to their left shoulder. From there, it will go up to their jaw or down their arm. The pain men have during a heart attack is far worse than what women deal with. It is a severe ache and throbbing sensation. Remember the elephant on the chest? Many might not believe this, but the pressure and squeezing it caused is moving to other body parts! Call the front line doctor to make this pain disappear right away.

Shortness Of Breath

Dreamstime

The heart pumps blood and oxygen all around the body. It’s the super genius of the body. When shortness of breath hits, it’s the body saying something bad is happening to the heart. The heart is no longer having tremendous success at its job. It needs backup! The brain forces the lungs to work harder to make up for it. The lungs need to bring in more oxygen. But there’s only so much the lungs can do! The heart can’t pump the oxygen back out, triggering shortness of breath. It will also feel like men can’t breathe in enough air.

Lightheadedness And Dizziness

Dreamstime

After the chest pain and shortness of breath hit, men receive a big fat dose of lightheadedness when they’re having a heart attack. The brain is being starved of oxygen and the cells are being slammed shut. This is what produces a light feeling in the head. The room will start spinning as well. Blood pressure is dropping at this time. When men feel this happening, they aren’t safe. Laying down is crucial. Men also need to call in back-up and get attention from a doctor. They cannot allow their blood pressure to slip through the cracks. They have to be ready to catch it.

Cold Sweat

Dreamstime

As the heart attack gets stronger, men will break out into a cold sweat. The temperature around them won’t even be hot. This is what normally triggers sweating. Cold surfaces, like the bathroom floor or side of a beer bottle, will feel even colder than they actually are when they touch a man’s skin. They will feel hot and cold at the same time. This makes it tough to figure out what the hell is going on. It’s not normal to feel this way. Not normal at all! It’s the kick in the pants many need to get medical attention because of this.
